By Car:
Most people fly to Alicante, others to Valencia, before driving to Oliva. However, new low cost carriers are flying into Madrid and some people are opting for a four hour cross country drive through La Mancha.

If you're approaching from Alicante, take the Valencia road (or vice-versa) to the motorway. It takes slight less than an hour's drive to Oliva from Valencia, slightly more from Alicante. There is a motorway exit, a couple of kilometres to the north of Oliva. Leave the motorway here, drive down to the older main road (running almost parallel) and turn right to Oliva. Through the first set of traffic lights, you'll pass the Ribolet Bar and a 24 hour petrol station (on your right) as you enter the town proper. Stay on the main road for about two kilometres, driving through the town until you come to a petrol station on your left when the built-up area of the town gives way to more open country on your left and warehouse-type buildings on your right. Continue for approximately 1 kilometre before taking a right turn, signposted for "Polígono Industrial" (industrial park). The road dips under the main road and then take the "Carrer Viejo" for Denia (third turn off the roundabout). Continue along this road for two kms and take the third turning on your left, in the direction of Euro Camping, along Cami del Ruiet de los Gorgs. Pass the turning on your right to Euro Camping and continue for approximately 200 metres, before turning left onto a country track. Pass "the pink house" on your left and follow the road round to the left, passing another small house on your left. The next house on your left is Casa Limones - you can't miss the silly, but irresistible "pissoirs" on the gateposts. You're there!

Transport
The cost of car-hire has risen in Spain in recent years but prices are still very competitive. Bank on paying less than £150 a week for a small car. If you are flying to Spain, then your travel agency may well book a car for you, to be awaiting you at Alicante or Valencia Airport.
NB: A car is really a necessity for a holiday in Oliva, but if you do not intend to hire a car, or are going for longer period, then there is a good bus service from the airports of Alicante and Valencia to the cities and then on to Oliva. However, the last bus from Alicante is 7pm.
There is no train station at Oliva - the nearest is at Gandia, where you can catch regular local trains to Valencia and beyond.
Buses run up and down the coast to Valencia and Alicante.

Petrol station
There are two 24-hour petrol stations on the main road through Oliva at either end of the town. They can sometimes do running repairs or point you in the right direction if more tricky car problems arise.
