Oliva folk
Many Oliva folk are religious and the church plays an important role in many of their lives. There are many fiestas or ferias (religious holidays) with colourful parades, bands, processions and displays. Check with us to see if they fall during your holiday period.
Spaniards in general love fireworks, but Valencians seem to mount the biggest and most colourful firework displays in the whole of Spain. Oliva is no exception, but it is advisable to prepare your ears for an onslaught before going to what can seem like an Eighth Army advance - especially during the Fallas celebrations around the feast of San José on March 19.
